ALBRIGHT FASHION LIBRARY - LOS ANGELES

To say Irene Albright is an Icon – with a capital “I” – is kind of an understatement. Her bocoastal Albright Archive/Library of amazing designer fashion pieces for rent – 60,000 in LA’s Truesdale alone (Cooper Square is the home of NY archive) – is legendary. Before she created this one of a kind fashion library, Albright was both an artist and stylist – starting her styling career with famed fashion editor Paul Cavaco at Keeble Cavaco and Duka. To list the VIPS/stars who’ve worn pieces from her collection it would take days: Rama Duwaji famously wore an Albright vintage coat to her husband Mayor Zohran Mamdami’s New York inauguration – Sabrina Carpenter on the cover of Rolling Stone, Doja Cat, Anne Hathaway, Selena Gomez, Jill Scott, Olivia Munn, Olivia Rodrigo – many of her pieces gracing the covers of international fashion mags.

On April 28, she hosted a 75th birthday party bash at the tk square foot Truesdale manse, celebrated by great friends in fashion, tv and media, like Paul Cavaco, Elizabeth Stewart, Tory Spelling, Angela Janklow, Susan Campos, New York Times scribe Bob Morris (who flew in from NY for the occasion), THR editor in chief Maer Roshan, interior designer and LA’a best dressed Allyson Taylor, producer Tamara Rawitt, real estate giant Kimberly Bini, style monger George Kotsiopolous – and of course, her partner Jonathan Goldhill, who gifted the Gucci-clad Albright with diamond earrings for her turning point bday. After cake and cocktails at the magic hour preceding sundown, Albright gave a speech about how far she’s come in life and career – and thanked all her friends for being there along the way.
