WHAT?? The holiday season starts before Halloween? Actually, yes: Neiman Marcus unveiled its FANTASY GIFT CATALOGUE this week with its outrageously extravagant gifts – this year, there’s a “accessible” section:  “Fantasy For All,” including a Khaite bag ($3500) all the way up to  a Rolex ($17,000) ). Then there’s the fantasy for tech billionaires – or any billionaires: a trip to LucasFilm in Northern Cal, one of a kind for the “Star Wars experience (read: rich nerds):” for $180,000. While only a few were displayed at Neiman’s Bev Hills unveiling on four floors – the store decked out for Christmas, as well as guests – there was plenty to look at. Neimans BH VP and GM Gretchen Pace was all decked out in a Chanel leather mini, Jimmy Choo boots and Verdura jewelry. “Heated Rivalry” star Ksenia Kharlamova was wrapped up in a Zimmerman scarf dress. It’s the first time the Fantasy Gift event was actually held in the store. Yes, retail’s got money problems – but Neiman’s clients clearly don’t.
