The Culture club that attends the annual Frieze L.A. art fair is not one of shrinking art school dropouts. This whimsical group treats its wardrobes as emotional aesthetic armor: there’s little conformity, fabulous eyewear, and in many cases, looks by obscure designer/artist crossover brands. Edgy is the code of the day – standing out enough to fit into the “I am my own art object” club. Takes one to know one.
